The Chope team has been a fan of Sauce since its launch in July. At the launch party, our greedy teamsters couldn’t get enough of their classic All-American burgers! But beyond this traditional delight, the Lunch Meat Chips is something worth trying. This thinly sliced luncheon meat which is fried till crisp is a perfect snack especially when it comes served with their specially concocted orange infused chilli sauce. Finally, with 17 different choices of sauce (like mango with saffron and jalapeno tartare) to accompany their grilled meats, Sauce is definitely a place for those who love a culinary adventure!

Be sure to check out Sauce’s happy hour menu from 5pm to 9pm everyday. What's even more special? From 5pm to 7pm during the work week, each pint of Asahi Super Dry ($8) comes with a free juicy pork garlic mini hot dog. Nothing like a good beer and some hearty American food to end a long hectic day.

"...This new Esplanade waterfront eatery is all about – you guessed it – its sauces. The 18 varieties, in savoury, spicy or sweet flavours, are made for the burgers or sausages to take a dip. We tried six, and each had its strong suit: chilli cheese had a smooth blend of jalapeño, red pepper and cheddar cheese (no beef); chopped jalapeño and English parsley gave the tartar sauce a nice kick; and pineapple juice cuts through Dijon mustard in the barbecue dip.

Our favourites – both regrettably removed from the menu after our visit – were the truffle spread and, surprisingly, a coffee bourbon; nevertheless, all the sauces seem to complement everything nicely, from the chicken sausage Classic Dog ($12) to the sides.
