Hangoga Grill is the authentic taste of Korea that Singapore has been waiting for. Helmed by a team of chefs specially flown in from Korea (where they have multiple outlets) and using only traditional recipes, their restaurant at Marina Bay Sands is their flagship outlet in Singapore. With increasingly discerning diners demanding only the best and most authentic dining experiences, dining at Hangoga Grill certainly allows you to enjoy the wonderful flavours of Korea without the hefty price of the air ticket.
At Hangoga Grill, you'll find only the finest USDA prime quality meats that you can barbecue right at your table. Apart from the sizzling selection, you'll also be delighted with the wide range of traditional favourites and discover house specialties that you won't be able to find anywhere else!
Conveniently located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands closest to the Marina Bay Financial Centre, it's ideal for a business lunch from the financial district or for group private dining given their 5 private dining rooms (ranging from 8-12 person capacities). With the newly opened Bayfront MRT station making it even more convenient to get to Marina Bay Sands, there's no excuse to not satisfy that Korean food craving!
With 15 years of culinary experience, Head Chef Choi, from Korea, put his skill on display with the excellent and authentic dishes he prepared for the well-travelled Chope Team. As its name implies, Hangoga has an extensive meat menu for you to grill at your table. The menu includes Wagyu brisket, tender ribeye, and succulent pork belly. The Chope team had seconds of the marinated prime USDA Angus short ribs, which had excellent marbling and was so tender and juicy after just a short grill. Aside from the grilled items, Hangoga also serves an array of Korean favourites to complete the gastronomic experience.
Popular dishes are samgyetang (ginseng soup with whole chicken stuffed with glutinous rice) and Galbitang (beef short rib soup). Besides the grilled short ribs, a definite Chope team favourite is the Hangoga house signature dish, Gabijjim. This beef rib stew marinated in Hangoga's special soya sauce is extremely flavourful, with fall-off-the-bone tender beef ribs and rice cakes. Not to be missed are also the Bibimbap (rice with vegetables and meat) in a hot stone pot, and the Korean style stir-fried glass noodles. For something less meaty, try the Seafood Jigae, a spicy seafood soup with tofu and fresh clams and shrimp. End off your hearty meal by washing everything down with a refreshing glass of their specially blended calamansi lime juice.
Everything at Hangoga is so flavourful and fresh, that we at Chope are already looking forward to our next trip here for yet another taste of Korea. If you tried the food, you would be too!
