The Shangri-La Hotel is a name synonymous with luxury and Asian hospitality. At The Line, their signature all-day dining buffet restaurant, you will certainly get no less. A bright and airy space, with floor-to-ceiling glass panels facing a lush green garden, it is the perfect place to enjoy a nice long meal as you work your way through the seemingly endless food stations.

You will find familiar counters such as a fresh salad bar, appetizers as well as Asian and Western hot dishes. However, The Line also features an Indian food section, with different types of curries, dips, naans and even freshly fried pratas! There is also a Japanese section which serves up sashimi all day, among other sushi and cooked foods. The local chefs do a mean roast duck, along with other roast meats like BBQ pork, and a variety of noodles like laksa and wanton mee.

But the star of the show is undoubtedly the seafood bar. A clear favourite among the diners, the counter is constantly stocked with a never-ending supply of oysters, mussels, prawns, crabs and much more. A veritable seafood feast!

Coming a close second (though dessert lovers may beg to differ) is the selection of desserts on offer. Save room for a myriad of desserts ranging from local kuehs to French crepes. You name it, The Line probably has it.

Feeling thirsty after stuffing yourself? The Line offers a full barista station where you can order different types of teas and coffees, to suit your fancy. The service staff will also gamely 'tarik' your beverage per your request.

To keep diners flocking back, there are evening promotions that run from Mondays to Thursdays, with offers such as free flow beer or a seafood themed night. On Sundays, The Line kicks up another notch with champagne, lobster and an egg counter! (May 2012)
