To add to the authenticity of the restaurant, Chef Rodriguez, who hails direct from Cordoba, sticks to his familiar repertoire of lovingly prepared meats but also tantalizes with other South American favourites like the ceviche (fresh raw fish marinated in citrus jus and chilli), ox tongue, and sweetbreads. Porterhouse is no traditional steakhouse, but instead, a well-kept secret in central Killiney Road that will delight anyone who enjoys its particular brand of tangy, spicy grilled meats and gravy. ABOUT
THE BUZZ
WHAT WE LOVE
TIME OUT
When we think of Argentina, the image of gauchos herding cattle across the humid, grassy plains of the Pampas inevitably comes to mind. The meat-loving South American country is famous for its beef, and Porterhouse is the only steakhouse in Singapore where you can sample the authentic flair of Argentina. The asado (the Argentine style of barbeque meat that is part of the country's identity) comes as a generous slab of short rib and bone, perfectly grilled that the juices run as you slice into it. Pair it with a glass of an Argentian malbec from the generous selection in the wine list, to wash it down with.
