The moment you step past those elevator doors into Halo, you’ll be stunned by the view. An absolutely spectacular panorama is cleverly framed by the aluminium façade of the hotel, with the award-winning Pinnacle at Duxton dominating the scene.
Whether you’re there for the live performances on Friday and Saturday nights by local talents, or to catch one of the many sporting events they screen, you can rest assured you’ll do so caressed by the evening breeze with an excellent cocktail in hand.
In fact, between the breathtaking view and extensive menu of modern cocktails, trendy drought beers, and wines with a selection of delicious tapas, Halo’s got something heavenly for every angel. (Feb 2012)
"Compact and bijou, Halo is set high up in the eaves of Wangz Hotel. Featuring a wrap-around terrace and a reflecting pool, Halo encourages pre-club partying in style - not to mention its top notch martinis." -I-S Asia-City
City views and al fresco rooftop bars are quickly becoming all the rage in Singapore, but few have a view like Halo has. Instead of the city skyline or the Central Business District, Halo offers something a little different. Due to its off-the-beaten-path location, you get an oft-overlooked treat: an aerial view of the Chinatown and Outram area. Trust us, it’s gorgeous.
What we also love are the 18 new and exclusive cocktails and martinis that Halo's latest mixologist, As’Ad, has created. Whether you go for the Passion White Chocolate Cocktail, a yet rich chocolaty treat, or the snow queen marmalade, complete with a flower sculpted out of ice, you’re sure to be delighted. A selection of premium spirits and bottled beers are also be available.
The best part of Halo though, is really the way it all comes together. Still relatively unknown amongst the general population, Halo is a divine escape that offers a blessed respite from the earthbound worries of everyday life. Quiet, breezy, with excellent food and drink? No wonder Beyonce wrote a song about it. (Feb 2012)

"The metallic façade and slate-coloured tiles make the already utilitarian bar look even more military at night, which is why at first glance it’s surprising to find the crowd heavy on the ladies. But it’s not hard to see why; this calm, standalone semi-circular space provides a refuge from the usual bar bustle.
Its unobstructed panoramic point is a haven for married-with-children women who enjoy tipples with a gossip nugget or two, and Halo knows it: the drinks list has a page dedicated to seven Halo speciality drinks ($16), categorised by colours.
The Gold is a concoction of champagne, gin, Tia Maria, Monin Mojito, soda water, beer and a very light dust of gold flakes. It’s a refreshing fruity mix that sips a little too easily. On Wednesday nights, there is a one-for-one cocktail deal ($14) for ladies until closing time. Okay, so maybe it’s more than just a calming vibe that’s reeling ’em in."
