We love that Element offers a wide range of fresh seafood even as part of its lunch buffet (always a good sign in our books!).The seafood lovers among us just loved diving into the fresh oysters and scallops along with the assortment of sashimi. The meat lovers among us (not necessarily mutually exclusive with the seafood lovers!) enjoyed having a go at carving kebabs off the spit ourselves and garnishing with the available condiments. The live station frequently rotates their offerings with grilled to order items such as crayfish, rib-eye steak and lobster so that every visit is unique. With holiday themed buffets featuring seasonal treats, you’ll always have a reason to visit all year round.

Regular readers of our column will know that we always have room for dessert and for some of us this was certainly the highlight of the meal. Various bite size pieces of cake, soufflé, muffins, chocolate and macarons are there to tempt you to start your diet tomorrow (or after your next visit!). The muffins were lightly dusted with gold and perfectly baked. There was also an amazing hazelnut banana flavoured cake with crunchy bits of mille-feuille flakes embedded with each bite. And the chocolates? Just divine. As a side note, we can’t wait for Amara Hotel’s chocolate store to open so we can indulge in our chocolate cravings whenever we want!

Priced at $35++ for lunch, and $38++ for dinner, you’d be hard pressed to find a better value buffet in the heart of the city with such a delectable spread. Go on and give it a try today, you’ll certainly be back for more. (Apr 2012)
